Dr. Ling was trained in orthopedic surgery at Loma Linda University and was fellowship trained in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He then moved to El Dorado County and practiced orthopedic surgery and sports medicine for over 17 years. Currently, he has a non-surgical practice. He offers assessment of orthopedic problems and provides a variety of non-surgical options that mix Eastern and Western medicine and that integrate the whole person. |

Twenty-three years of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork experience and ten years as an instructor at the Integrative Therapy School (a professional training program for Massage and Bodywork) bring a wealth of insight and knowledge to Ann’s classroom and table work. Each Integrative Therapy session is unique, based upon what will create the greatest benefit for the client. Integrating numerous modalities (including but not limited to) Myofascial release, Orthopedic Massage, Swedish massage and deep tissue therapy, acupressure, neuro-somatic integration, muscle-balancing, aromatherapy, hot stone massage, orthobionomy, polarity, breathwork, therapeutic exercises and skills for self care. My integrative therapy practice also includes health and wellness coaching, counseling and education regarding potentially beneficial remedies. I have worked successfully with many challenging conditions including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, orthopedic related complaints, chronic and acute physical or emotional pain, injuries including whiplash and vertebral disc injuries, stress, etc., to provide complementary care for symptom relief and over all enhancement and well-being. John took his first massage training in 1975, and has since studied numerous specialty modalities including Touch for Health, Applied Kinesiology, Applied Physiology, Brain Gym, Neurological Organization Technique, Reflexology, Polarity, Acupressure, Muscle Balancing, Myofascial Release, Breathwork, and Flower Essence Therapy. He was on the teaching staff for three different massage training institutes from 1978 to 1982, and co-owner and Educational Director of the Integrative Therapy School, in Sacramento, from 1983 through 1996. Each Integrative Therapy session is unique, based upon what will create the greatest benefit for the client. Integrating modalities listed above as well as affirmation and prayer, massage therapy, sound and color therapies, and creative imagination. Sessions focus on bringing healing, balance, and integration of the many interrelationships within the physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and spiritual issues the client presents. I ask my clients to take an active responsibility in their healing process, both during and subsequent to the session.
